WinSETT Centre Receives Funding to Challenge Implicit Bias and Stereotyping in Alberta SETT Industries

On July 19, 2017, Terry Duguid, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Status of Women Maryam Monsef, announced Government of Canada funding of $354,128 for a three-year project of the WinSETT Centre.

In accepting the funding, Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour, Chair of the WinSETT Centre said: “We are proud to work with the Government of Canada on this project to break down the stereotypes that often hold women back from careers in science, engineering, trades and technology. These industries depend on innovation and they need the diverse skills and perspectives of women to compete in the global economy.”
